Australia exerts a positive influence on the business world at large!

It has traditionally been a safe and politically stable country. Its economic strengths, world leading corporate governance standards, innovative skills base, cultural diversity and political stability make it a very attractive investment destination. In fact, according to the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) World Investment Prospects Survey, Australia ranked as the 10th most attractive location for foreign direct investment for the period 2007–09.

Australia’s economy has been rated as one of the most resilient in the world to the current global economic issues. Its GDP is consistently growing at a level in excess of the global average and its products are in demand across a varied range of markets.

Australia has an open, efficient and transparent legal framework, and in terms of competitiveness, Australia’s laws are ranked as the second best in the world ahead of the United States and the United Kingdom.

It is a great time to invest in this country!

Pathways to Permanent Residency

Business Skills visas are for business people to establish a business in Australia, manage a new or existing business, or invest in Australia

Most Business Skills pathways to permanent residency require a two stage process. Initially you enter Australia on a provisional (temporary) visa for 4 years and, after satisfactory evidence of a specified level of business or investment activity, you may then apply for permanent residence.

An exception to this requirement of a “probationary” period is for high calibre Business people who can obtain sponsorship from a State or Territory. If you are accepted for this sponsorship you can apply for direct permanent residence in the first instance.

Business Owners

Provisional and permanent visas are available for people who have a successful career as a business owner or senior manager, and have a genuine and realistic commitment to be involved as an owner in a new or existing business in Australia.

Senior Executives

Provisional and permanent visas are available for senior executive employees of major overseas businesses, who have significant net assets and a genuine and realistic commitment to participate in the management of a new or existing business.

Investors

Provisional and permanent visas are available for people who have successful business or investment careers, and have a genuine and realistic commitment to be involved in investing or business in Australia.
